THE WAY WE SEE IT -
Pastor Mike has a vision to help the men of our
church become disciples -- men who are called to
walk with Christ, equipped to live like Christ, and
sent to work for Christ (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

Southside Christian Church
WE ARE:
- Developing Godly men and leaders, through
training on the practical day to day
applications of the Word of God and through
service to meet various needs in our
community.
- Growing Godly men through relational
discipleship and the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Building relationships with men, to
encourage them practically, and bring them
closer to Christ through fellowship,
mentoring, and discipling.
- Becoming a community of transformed men
who leave a lasting legacy to the honor of
Jesus Christ.
- Encouraging and equipping every man to be
committed, competent, creative, and
compassionate in serving others for the glory
of God.
HOW WE GONNA DO IT?
We will do this by helping men develop authentic
relationships with Christian men that will help them:
- Find the true meaning of the gospel through
relevant teaching and shared experiences.
- Become effective leaders in their households
and in the church, and
- Be living examples of the gospel in the
marketplace, the community and the world.
Carpe Diem is a phrase from a Latin poem by Horace. It is popularly translated as "seize the day", although a more literal translation of carpe would be "harvest" ("harvest the day"), as in the harvesting of fruit. Every month we harvest an opportunity to get connected with each other and discuss serious issues in our work, our homes, and our church. While enjoying a meal of some kind we plan for other exciting activity. Whether playtime, seminars, serving type evangelism or a day to help some needy cause, we plan to become close disciples of our Lord. Here's the great part - we like it! As iron sharpens iron,
So a man sharpens
